Just like all of Africa, so much potential just not the talent or money to do it...

 Dear Family,

Haha like you... I don't have much to say this week! Not much has really happened... But I guess I can start off by thanking you for your letter! It sounds like you're doing well. The living room looks like it is doing good to. I can't wait to get home and see it! That will be different for sure! I am happy that you two are working together on it. I bet that is a good thing. If I was there I would be helping you guys out too! That is for sure. It looks like there are a lot of Elders that are going to start coming in here in the next couple weeks! I am excited to get to meet them all. The mission sure will be different like you said with all of the other Elders leaving. The mission will move on though and it'll all be good!
Today at the zoo playing with the monkeys.
(Hey, hey we're the Monkees!)

Today we left to go to the Zoo at 7:30am and that was fun! It was the same Zoo that we went to last time... Kinda more cool the first time haha. We got to see the lions though again and they roared louder than they did last time. I also got a video of me playing with a monkey. And that was fun! We went with our whole zone. Elder Cline is our Zone leader and he is really nice. He is going home next week and his homecoming will be on the 14th I think he said. He is in the Sheppard Lane Ward so you will be able to go to that. Elder Robison will be coming home as well who is the assistant right now and he lives in wherever people live that go to Alta High School haha. (Draper) He is really nice and I know that he would like it if you went to his homecoming. But yeah the Zoo was a good time like always. It is just kinda like all of Africa, so much potential just not the talent or money to do it...

Calmet's Baptism
This Saturday was our baptism with Calmet. It all went well and he was excited to be able to be baptized. It was me who baptized him and everything went well. He has his own moto so we didn't have to go all the way over to his house to pick him up which can be hard... Other than that, the week was pretty normal... A lot of walking and teaching like every week! And sweating... So freaking hot here! But it's good. Oh yeah I did have EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA on Thursday. (T.M.I. Elder Layton!) I woke up in the middle of the night and didn't have time to grab my glasses and I couldn't see anything and that just wasn't good. Then it was super hot and it was just horrible but then took some miracle pills from Costco and everything was all good to go! Kinda just threw off our whole week though which wasn't too good... Other than that, it was a pretty solid week! Lovin' the mission.

So yeah just feeling pretty crazy coming up on my 9 month mark... I know that I say it every week, but I really can't believe it! It is so crazy that I will be home in that short amount of time. I remember Elder Shumway saying, "DUDE! I just hit my year mark!" Where is he now? Home. I remember talking to Elder McCray about how he had only been in Africa for 10 months and now he is going home in less than 2 weeks. That is just so incredible I can't even understand how it passes that fast. I know that I have to take in every moment while I can. Because you really don't know what you have till it's gone. I love you all so much and I hope that you have a good week! I love you all!
