Bonjour mon Famille!

Email from Elder Layton...
So all the mail has been closed down the past couple of days due to the holiday season so we haven't been able to get any Dear Elders or really any mail lately... I hope that we will get them eventually if you did send them. I dunno. To anyone who did, I hope that I get them! But yeah... Haha I did get the picture of the JUGS + 2 Christmas card... Haha I laughed out loud when I saw that! Classic you guys. Dal, Tj, Dave, Jake and Rich, you guys are awesome!!

I don't really have anything to say since I haven't gotten any of your letters to answer to yet... Assuming you sent them. You just might not be writing me back and are like "Oh hey yeah this is awesome!" Which is cool it's like whatever ya know...? Haha just kidding. 
Well we started teaching a new investigator Yesterday. His name is Jose and he was born into the catholic church and is a strong member but just moved here and is looking for work. The first lesson went really well. We just kind of did "get to know you' stuff and asked him questions like what we wanted to learn from us and stuff like that. We are going to go into the Joseph Smith story tomorrow I think. We are also teaching another investigator names Nelitto who is kind of the same story as Jose. Catholic. These investigators fortunately aren't real, they are our teachers haha. I couldn't only imagine what they would think of the church just from the 4 things I can say in French! I use to have to use the book to help me remember what to say when I would bare my testimony or pray, but this last investigator I didn't even bring the book in once! So I guess that is a step into the right direction.
I bought some Downy softener for my socks because I don't like when they aren't soft... I am doing a load of laundry after this so I will find out! I am kind of excited. It's funny how much you care about your wash when you do it yourself. I want the best and only the best!
Expect some pictures soon! I will send home the memory card so you can have the actual file for the pictures, then I will also send actual pictures with descriptions of the back of some of them. To kind of let you know who everyone is and where they are all from. You can also send me pictures through email so you don't have to send them through the mail. I can't print them off or anything but if you just want to let me see something or just kind of a "Thought you would be interested" in this, you can send it through email. But yeah that's about all I can think of so far... I hope everyone has a very happy New year. You don't have to worry about me being out late this year... I think I'm under some pretty good supervision! And I probably won't get a new years kiss this year either... If I do for some reason, I will see you guys in a couple days shortly after! Cuz I'd get sent home.. Dumb joke. 
But yeah everything here is going really good! Whenever I get homesick I think to myself, "What would I be doing if I wasn't here?" Then I answer that you guys would make me get a full time job that I would probably hate, and go to school. I think that serving the Lord and doing His work sounds just a bit better! Tell everyone hi for me and that I miss you all!!
