 Goodbye District 4G-A Going to Benin & France Missions

I was napping last Sunday when my cell phone rang. "Hello?" "Sister Layton this is President Brown. I am here with your son." My heart stopped for a moment! I thought, oh no what? He assured me that he was doing great but that Landon had some concerns about his packing and luggage. We had told Landon not to worry about the extra weight that we would pay the overage. There are somethings he can not buy in Africa so we really loaded him up! 

His luggage was weighing over the overage! They have a scale at the MTC and a cost chart. I am sure each mission could be different but this is ours...
Up to 50 pounds is free
51-70 lbs Extra $75
71-100 lbs $200

I thought that was so kind of the President to allow him to call and settle his concerns and get some direction from us! As it turns out he mailed home a pretty good sized box of things. Some items were coming home anyway, things that were just for the MTC. The mail system there isn't great but we will start sending the items to him.

*Once at the Airport his Luggage ended up doing okay with the 70 pounds. Whew!
