Lucky 13 bonus questions that came after his email...

I was online today when Landon's email came through.  I quickly sent a reply back asking if he was there and he said yes! We emailed for a couple minutes and I asked him if he could answer the questions that I had sent him. So here they are!.....

1- How was your flight from Paris to Cotonou?
    - The flight was really good! I ate some weird fish stuff but It was good! I sat by elder Poll, so no preaching for me. It went quicker than the flight to Paris. That was the worst! I watched Lion King in French though... Haha so that was cool!

2- What were your feelings when you first walked off the plane and got on African soil?
     - The first thought was "oh my heck it is so hot and stinky here! But it is all good now :) I can't even tell!

3- How was it going through customs? Did you make it through with everything?
     - Customs was pretty good! Guys just come up and take your bags and I thought that I was being robbed... They put one of my bags on Elder burkharts cart and I went to go take it and the guy freaked out so I didn't want to do anything... it was confusing! But then I got it back so it was all good. Everything here is confusing! I just kinda go with the flow though, it works :)

4- Can't believe you and Elder Burkhart are in the same district!!
     - Well we are in the same zone... I don't think that we are in the same district. 

5- How is your companion? Getting along well?
     - Companionship is going really well! I really lucked out with him. I don't know his name yet haha... It's weird! But it is really good! Like I said, he gets kinda frustrated, but it's all good :) I can speak enough french to get a long fine. He also speaks a little english. He speaks english like I speak french haha.

6- How's your apartment?
     - the apartment is actually really nice! It's not half bad. I spent 2 hours yesterday cleaning the bathroom.... haha. you know how I am with that kind of stuff. Today I did our room. Tomorrow will be the living room. When stuff is clean, it just feels a lot better!! You know? Haha I know you do mom! I get it from you!

7- Is it hotter than Tonga?
     - It's actually not hot at all! I mean I sweat bullets everyday, but I usually get a nice breeze everyday. It's nothing compared to 2 a days during football, running Brave quarters. So dad, for real, I want you to tell coach wall thank you for making me run those! Among other things he taught me through football.

8- How was church?
     - Church was good! IT is different... I bore my testimony! I could tell no one could understand me... They were just all smiling! HAha it was good though! The missionaries are the ones that always teach the lessons and such. So I will become quite the teacher as well i'm sure! The language better come quick... Ha

9- Met Elders Harding, Palmer yet?
    - I haven't met elder Harding yet, but I have met Elder Palmer! He is a character. Seems to be really enjoying himself. Happy fellow. I like him a lot! Along with Elder McGraw. HE is the assistant. He is the bomb. I haven't met our district or zone leaders yet... 

10- So excited to be off work tomorrow for Presidents Day!

    - Oh nice! We don't have that here...Haha.

11- Met the Southam's yet? (Sr. couple serving there) http://africadejavu.blogspot.com

     - AH I LOVE THE SOUTHAMS!!!! They are amazing!!! I hear they hook us up... They are really really nice. I see them every sunday I think... Probably more as well. They said if I ever need anything to let them know!

12- Write in your journal!!
     - EVERY NIGHT!

13- Did you get your package from us?

     - No package yet..... I could be expecting it soon though! Elder Palmer said that packages are really sketchy on time.... He said they will always get here, but it varies on the time. He said that he got one in a week, and then another time in a month and a half... Could YOU SEND ME SOME MUSTARD??? That would be awesome. seeing that they don't have it here.... And do we know how much it costs when I make a withdrawal from my mountain america account? I might need to to that every once and awhile.

14- How's the food? 
     - Food is okay.. It depends. They made this macaroni one night and it was really good! The the fu fu is so so.... Not the best. But okay! I am going to buy some turkey for turkey sandwiches! Hence the need for mustard... haha. Elder McGraw said he eats macaroni and spaghetti a lot so that's cool. I will do the same haha.
