Thank you for the email! I always love hearing what you have to say and tell me. It keeps me on track knowing that I need to stay focused! You really do hit every little thing of the head about the mission. It is crazy! It's like you've been here before or something... ;) Which I know you have! I've always grown up hearing you talk about your mission and about how great it was, serving a mission just seemed to always be something that I wanted to do. So I can thank you for the experience that I am having here! And like you, I can already see how this is going to bless me in my life! More than I probably even realize... Stoked to continue.
And Jordan Hayes that is. Is he QB1 or is the Lloyd kid going to be under center? From what I have seen and heard, Jord deserves the spot. I don't know for sure. I bet they will do well this year. They've got some studs out there. But also Coach Johnson is back! That is awesome! Why did he make t switch back I wonder? I don't know if you can get a chance, but fill him in on me a little bit and tell him that I say hi! And I just read that Bountiful beat Lonepeak! That was a big win right? Defending 5A state Champs... That has gotta be a big win for sure! What an awesome experience. I wish I was there to watch.. Haha. Just one more season and I will be there for the next!
Aside from football, which I could talk about all day, what else is going on back at home? I can't help but feel that I am missing out on some stuff, but I know that it is all a part of the experience and it doesn't bother me much. Have you still hit a figurative wall with the boat?? Gotta be ready by summer of 2014! I know you can do it! It sounds like you had a fun trip camping as well. I am happy that you guys were able to do that and have the family time! For sure something that I am looking forward to doing when I get back! It just looks like the whole family is super happy and I know for a fact that you a big part of that happiness! You rock.
Like I have told mom in the other emails, I have been reading Jesus The Christ and I have learned so much from it! I absolutely love it. I thought that it was cool that you had read it as well. I guess the church had picked a good time for young men to start reading it and it's on their missions! I know that I wouldn't have been able to read it before... I have already grown so much in my testimony and overall desire to WANT to know more. Before my mission, I am not going to lie, I knew this gospel was true and I knew the importance of living it, but it wasn't till I got here in Africa that I really got that strong desire to know about our gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ. The mission really does change people!
So I was laying in my bed the other night and I was thinking about the stories that you have told me about your mission, and one popped into my head that I can't really remember completely, or it was someone else... But were you ever in the hospital on your mission? I know that you had your accident with you bike but that is all I remember. I am almost positive that it was you who was telling me this story but I can't remember! Let me know if I have the wrong story... Haha I was just thinking about it and couldn't get my thoughts straight! I love to hear your storied of your mission though and I can't wait to get back and compare when I return in my short period of 16 months.
Well I better get going... I just wanted to "drop you a line" and see how you were doing! I am so grateful for all the you have done for me in my life, from birth till now! You don't know how much you help me even though we are so far away! I didn't think it was possible, but you do it! And I am so grateful for that! Thank you for taking care of our family so amazingly as well. You are just the number one dad :) Have a great week and keep being awesome. I can't wait to hear back from you!
