Reply from Sister Leavitt to my request about the Relief Society Sisters in Africa for my RS lesson. I also used many examples from her previous journal entry's about these wonderful sisters.

Michelle,

We are traveling at the moment.  The only thoughts I would have are.  Faith in everything, their whole lives are built on faith in the Lord.  When they are baptized from that point on, each day is a commitment to do all they can to honor their baptismal covenants.  Their focus turns to the Temple and the opportunity that someday they will be blessed to enter into that Holy Place. Sadly many never get the opportunity because of the distance and expense...BUT they always carry a current Temple Recommend.  Their love of gospel sisterhood is evident in the way they greet and treat each other and love each other unconditionally.  Their beauty and joy as they live their lives in harmony with the Gospel.

My observations and thoughts, hope it helps.  So glad Elder Layton is back in Togo.

Love, Sue xxxxx.
