"You will be an official representative of the Church . . . Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ . . . Greater blessings and more happiness than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children." . . . Thomas S. Monson

"I really am at a loss for what I can tell you about this week..."

Hanging out after the baptism… Members from Tokoin. Freddy and Charlotte.

Dear Family,

Hey guys! What's up!? I'm doing well. Just got to cyber and decided to write you guys up a letter. Thanks for yours! I really liked it a lot! It sounded like you had a nice little get away to Vegas mom! Wouldn't we all like to do that eh!? Haha Nah you definitely deserve it! And it sounds like you helped Lindsay a lot with decorating her new house! Must be a girl thing... Because I don't think that I could do that as long as you two did! Too long... It sounds like Jackson is settling in well with his new football team, and the girls at school. And Lindsay with just being there and Kevin with his work! Sounds like everything is working out for all of them! That is good to hear :) Sounds like everyone is general is just doing good!

This week was pretty good... Not really much to write this week to be honest. We'll see what we can come up with! Well I just started my 15th Daily Planner. They are 6 week (one transfer) each. So you have 16 through out the whole mission. That means that I only have this one, then one more! Yahoo!! Time is really starting to fly by quick... Faster and faster everyday. We had a baptism this past Saturday as well. It was a little daughter of a member.
Africans love jumping in other peoples photos.
Me and Marcelle ! She is the little on in the
yellow dress. The 3 other are her little sister,
mom and grandma.
Her name is Marcelle, daughter to Judith. Marcelle lives with her Grandma in Benin, but her mom wanted her to be baptized while she was here in Togo... So she will be able to go to church every time she comes to see her mom! Other than waiting for an hour for them to meet us to leave to the chapel, everything went well and there were no problems! We had our interviews with president and that went good as well! Nothing really too crazy going on in the mission. Well we are going to receive 21 new missionaries in the coming month, so there will be a ton of trainers in the mission. My companion and I are going to talk a little bit about training in our Zone meeting tomorrow. I am sure that will go good!

I really am at a loss for what I can tell you about this week... But it went well! So that is good :) Gotta love the work of the Lord! I love you all, and wish you a good week :)

           Love,
                  Elder Landon Dean Layton

**I think that Elder Layton was just a little distracted today because his dad told him that he bought him a 1994 Bronco! It will need some engine work but I guess that's what boys like to do.  He used to have one but sold it at the end of his senior year. He's been longing for another one ever since.
