Dear Family,
Hey, what's up? The connection is being sooo slow today. I can't even download "Some Beach" By Blake Shelton... Nah
just kidding I'm not trying to download that. That would be pretty cool though
if I could listen to that song because it's a good song and I like it a lot.
Not long now and I will be able to. Well it sounds like you all are doing well!
Enjoying the October festivities and such! All the pictures that I have seen
look really awesome! Gotta love the Fall season. Football playoffs approaching,
Halloween just around the corner, and that means that Thanksgiving is
just around the corner, then that means that December 15th is just around the
corner, and that means that I will be home for Christmas! I believe it was The
Carpenters who said it the best... "For there's no place like home for the
holidays...". That is okay for me to say now because I will be home for
Christmas. But if I was saying that last year it wouldn't have been okay
because that would have been impossible! Ya see? It sounds like the Strongs
had/are having a good time visiting! That really is nice that they are a lot
closer than Washington and it will be easier for them to come visit. Tell all
of them that I say hi!
Frightmares is always fun! I am jealous that you guys
have gone the two years that I have been gone, and we didn't go for YEARS until
then! What's up with that huh? Then when I get back you guys are gonna be like,
"oh hey we aren't ever going to go as a family to Frightmares
again.." Nah just kidding again. Haha. Rough time for Will's team. He
should probably just move over to Bountiful before it's too late and become a
champion! Word to the wise to anyone in the same case... Even though they got
whaled on by East.. That was rough haha. Ah well. Life always goes on en tout
cas... (anyway)
This week has been a pretty good one...
Pretty mundane as the others have been. Just trying to stay focused on the work
and keep working hard for the remaining 9 weeks or so. Elder Dagrou and I are
getting along just as well as we did back in Avotrou! We are going to have our
Zone meeting, not conference, tomorrow and I am excited for this because we
will get to meet all the new missionaries and give them a chance to bare their
testimonies and stuff. I will let you know how that all goes. Then we are going
to have my last zone conference on the 7th of November! Elder Burkhart, Poll,
and I will all be saying our goodbyes... Because we are all going to be at the
same conference! So that will be exciting! The open house is also going to be
this Saturday, so that will be fun, as well as the dedication of the new
chapel. The work is going forward! Just like the lesson on Sunday... No one
will ever be able to stop the Church of Christ progressing! D&C 65... Gotta
love it! That is what Elder Dixon talked a lot about when he came for a
conference. Such an amazing doctrinal point!
Um... That is really just about it for this week.
Sorry I don't have much to say. Really just plugging along here and doing my
best to stay focused. Not going to lie, it can be kind of hard sometimes. But
when I think about it, it's worth it to work hard all the way through, and then
enjoy the rest at the end. Something football has taught me. And I know it's
the same for the mission. No regrets. Well I love all of you, and wish you guys
a happy week :) Love you, pray for you, appreciate you, am grateful
for all of you.
Love,
Elder Landon Dean Layton
