First Letter From Elder Layton!!!

Dear Family,
I think that I am starting to get used to the MTC! I didn't want to jinx it though...the first day was really easy just getting settled in. When I got here the hosts took me to my residence and showed me around. I then got taken to my district which is district 4G. There are four elders in there that are going to Benin. We all stay in the same room and they are all really cool guys. We usually always stick together and in our district. There are a total of eleven Elders in our district. Besides the four of us going to Benin, everyone else is going to Paris, France. I'm not kidding, everyone in the district has had at least 2 years of speaking French and are really good at it. I was the last one to walk into the language class and sat down (this is the first day) and think that everyone has been there forever because they are really good at French. Later I find out that it was their first day as well and I was totally lost. The teacher speaks only in French so we can catch on...it's just frustrating. The second day, 12/15, was the hardest day so far. Sitting in a classroom where everyone is speaking French except you. When the teacher asks you if you "understand" in French and you don't understand, it can be frustrating. Haha so I cried in class and everyone was like uhhhh....? Then class was over and we went to meet our District President Zimbleman. Everyone in the district stood up and bore their testimony so that was good. Then while the counselors starting talking I lost it again and started to cry...Homesick. That night was fine but I didn't sleep at all because I have roommate that snores like no other. If you could send me some earplugs that would be awesome. It is easier to write in letters because we only have one day on the computers for 30 minutes. We will do both. Everything is going good. I miss you all and pray for me. I will write more detail next letter. LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
