Hello from Provo! My home away from home...! Things are going really well here :) As usual! French is coming along great, just kinda chillin' and preaching the Gospel! Being district leader hasn't been hard or anything at all! I've actually really enjoyed it! Yes you have to deal with your districts and all the problems that they are facing, but that actually doesn't bother me at all. I like it! Maybe I'll be a psychologist when I get back... No just kidding. I'll stick to teaching school and coaching football! Or something else... I dunno. Doesn't really matter.

Birthday List! |
Thank you for the list of all the birthdays! Now when I send people cards they will think that I remembered their birthday... No I really did already know everyone's birthday on there I just wanted to know if you did! And you passed! good job Mom :) And thank you for the new debit card. My life savings better be there when I get back from my mission! All 16 dollars and 53 cents. I will notice..... I'm talking to Jordan as I write you! It's pretty cool. The technology of this day and age is amazing. I can't wait to see what kind of things are here once I get back from Africa! Which I hear doesn't have much. Haha. Duh...
How is the whole family doing!? It sounds like things are going really well from what I hear! Which is good! Always good when things are going well. On Mondays everyone freaks out because they get all the dear elders and mail from Saturday and Sunday. So it's like 3 days of mail! It's always an event! I think that we should be getting our travel plans this Thursday so I will let you know about that next week about my flights and times and all the fun exciting stuff! I know Colby and Poppe want to know when I go to the airport so they can see me off. So when that time comes if you could let me know that would be wonderful!

of the MTC! |
Today is the 50th Anniversary of the MTC and we are having our devotional tonight and everyone is freaking out because they think that the First Presidency is coming... The rumors have been making the rounds, but I'm not totally sure! It will be exciting to see who speaks though! I will for sure let you know about that as well! So far all of our devotionals have been pretty kick butt! We've have David A. Bednar, Russell M. Nielson, and then a bunch of Elders from the Seventy talk to us. It's really a treat to hear from them! We have devotionals every Sunday and Tuesday night. The lines always get crazy because people want a good seat, so I can only imagine what tonight is going to be like! I'll be sure to take a picture and show you guys.
I sent back the four, 4 gig memory cards for you to have there. I will buy some others here for cheap before I leave! Good deals here at the MTC. Random, my black suit keeps ripping in places... the crotch ripped, my zipper this time, so I dunno how to fix that... I'll have to get that fixed up again. I'm not very keen when it comes to a needle and thread. I was never taught how to sew! It's okay though I'll just have natives do it for me! This teacher that went to Togo and Benin on his mission said that his Mission pres told him it was okay to pay the natives to do your wash...

...to wash my laundry! Must use Downy! |
Haha so I am hoping that is the case! I do want to do it once though. Who knows I could be doing it for the whole two years! I am anxious to see.
I am sort of nervous about going out to Africa on account of the only places I have been in my life consist of Montana, Nevada, Wyoming and Oregon! It'll be awesome though! I am nervous/excited! I Host again tomorrow so that should be fun! It is always fun the help the missionaries around and let them settle in. It is hard though when their parents won't let them go and we have to tell them to get a move on it! I was in some families home video that they will have for the rest of their lives, and I just kept staring at the camera! It was pretty awkward... They are going to say like 20 years from now, "What was your host doing..? Is he brain dead!?" Haha I loved it :) Jeez I am talking so sporadically but it's okay! Ah I FREAKING LOVE MISSIONARY WORK!!!!!!!
I am so stoked to be out here I don't think you guys understand!!!!!! I know I will be slapped in the face once I get to Africa, and have to build that up again, but I know that it will come eventually! I am excited! How is Dad doing? moms work going ok? School for Shelby? all the family? "HOLDING TO THE ROD?". I hope amazing! Because it's totally worth it. Mom and dad, you should go on a couples mission! That would be cool. Just something to think about I guess........ You don't have to. Hehe.
Well, in conclusion, I just want to let you know how much love I have for you all, and all the people that are supporting me! You all are always in my prayers. I can't wait to hear back from you about how everyone is. Because you all mean a lot to me! Anymore mission calls? I think that everyone has gotten them who are going... Pretty crazy! Sorry my Email has been all over the place today... I hope that I covered everything. I LOVE YOU ALL!!! You guys are amazing!
