Beautiful girls from church... |
Looks like I am sitting at this computer once again, writing you how my week went. I do sit at the same computer ever week too. That is, if it is open. But I like this certain computer. Mostly because it is right under a fan and you gotta go for comfort am I right?! If you don't have comfort, your letters just don't go as well. So I do it all for you guys in the right! It sounds like you all are doing super good! Football seems to be taking up a lot of everyone’s time which isn't a bad thing. That is fun that Bountiful won their Homecoming game against Cyprus! But a bummer that the others lost... And I don't even want to hear about the Bears losing. I am getting a Bears tie made for me right now so I will have to send you a picture of that when it is done! It will be sweet. And that is also good to hear that your R.S. lesson went well! I love the picture that you sent me too of not crossing the line! That was really cool. And yeah we had the same lesson this last Sunday!
It was a good one for sure! Innocent kept asking provoking questions that always sparked up a debate, which isn't a bad thing! Nothing too crazy! He is progressing really well by the way! We are going to meet with him close to everyday this week to make sure that he is ready and stays focused on his baptism! But so far, all things are still pointing to this Saturday! I am super excited and hope that everything goes as planned. The whole family sounds like they are having a good time doing what they are doing! You guys haven't gone camping in awhile, what's up with that huh!? Already gettin' tired of it and I'm not even there!? Better get yourselves into shape eh? ;) Just kidding.

This week was a good, solid week! We had a couple really good lessons, and had 5 investigators at church with us! That is more than double that I have had since I got here! It was awesome! They were all asking questions and learning and everything of that sort. It was really fun to watch! Except for one of the members that was in the class with us started going off on Catholics and how they worship Mary and how that isn't good, I've explained briefly. But I guess she forgot the fact that almost all of our amis are catholic and some of them took real offense to it... We talked to one girl after and she said that she was really offended about the things that she said. We talked to her a little bit and told her that that is not what we do and we don't critique other churches like that and that we aren't perfect. She was fine after that and I hope that she continues to progress! Other than that, Makoko, Georgette, and all of the other amis are going really well! I am certain that your prayers are helping them be able to progress and know the importance of the gospel in their lives! And I am sure they as well, are so grateful for that! I know that I am, without a doubt in my mind! So keep it up :) We have stopped doing so much door to door lately which has been a good break. Elder Ndaye and I talked about how we need to focus on the amis that we already have so that they can progress and that had been going really well too. Over all the sector is going really well and I can already see the hard work paying off!
I saw Shumway yesterday!!! That was pretty awesome! He and also Elder Browning got transferred to a new area and they both came over to see the missionaries here! They even slept over at the other apartment because it was Elder Wooltoff’s birthday. But yeah we all hung out with each other after church and I made them some spaghetti. What can I say, they loved it ;). It was fun to have them over! It was really weird though because I distinctly remember being with Elder Browning in Gbegamey and he not even being to his year mark yet, and how he only has 5 months left and I only have a couple of months until my year mark!!! How insane is that!? Now that, I can't even wrap my head around! Crazy times if you ask me. It was fun seeing Shumway and Browning! When we saw each other in the road we ran to each other in the street and gave each other a big hug! I am sure people were thinking we were a little on the fem side... Or we were just two bros showing that "brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug!" Haha. Good times though! It was a good day all together.

So other than that, I can't really put a finger on anything else too exciting that happened during the week. We are planning on going to the huge super market, Champion, after we leave here. That will be fun I am sure! Always fun to enter into somewhere that makes you feel like you are in America... So this is where I leave you. Thank you so much for your letter! I always love hearing about everyone’s day and activities and such! So fun. I love you all so much and hope that you have an amazing week! Remember to pray always and "hold to the rod, the iron rod!" -Grandma Miller.
Love your handsome son,

QUESTIONS:
1- Tell us a little about Elder Ndaye...What is his home life like? Are his family members? How long has he been a member?
- I am saddened to tell you that I do not know the answers to these questions yet... I will note these down and make sure to fill you in next Monday!
2- How are things going with Makoko?
- Makoko is going super good! We ran out of credit for our phone half way through the weeks so we couldn't call her... So we ended up walking all the way over to her house and she was mad that we did not talk to her till then... We talked to her and we left on good terms! She did not come to church this last week because she went to her other one. But I feel she will continue to progress! No worries there.
3- How are the Innocent's x 2?
- The 2 Innocent's are going well! Taught the other one and he was super excited that we came by but he works at the port so he is almost always busy... We will continue to talk with him when we can though for sure!

4- Can you buy jam there for your bread? I wonder if we could send some? What about peanut butter?
-I know you can buy jam here but it is kind of expensive. And I don't know how good it is. And my peanut butter is just about gone. And you cannot find peanut butter here... At least I can't... Some would always be welcomed though!
